Prayer
This is gonna be a quick entry! I have so many chores do to around the house, but if some of them don't get done today I'll do them tomorrow or the next. :-)
I've had a prayer answered, I injured my back almost two months ago it seems. I still feel a little tightness in my lower back, it's healing slowly. I'd been sleeping on the futon for two months until this weekend. My memory foam mattress topper (4" on Overstock.com for only $149.99 with two memory foam pillows) had come in, my dear friend Fred recommended it. He said his hip pain disappeared after he and his wife Charlie got one. Well, I decided to sleep on it since 24 hours had passed. I slept sooooo long, so sound... and the dreams, oh my lord, this is like sleeping on a cloud! My back loves it!
I've got to take the Vulcan in to a Kawasaki Dealer this week for servicing and having the rear drive shaft worked on for that seal which is leaking, but I've got faith, it might be expensive, but God will provide.
God bless!
Stephen

Favorite Movies + Tank Girl
Oh, I forgot to add I watched Tank Girl today. My favorite movies are Bladerunner, and Brazil... but I think I need to add Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Tank Girl to the list since my favorite movies are usually ones that I can watch over and over and Tank Girl and Hitchhikers have both proven to be films which fit that category.
Tank Girl is regarded by a friend of mine as a stupid movie... but it's entertaining, and I seem to see something new in it every time I watch it. I also really dig the music, Lori Petty is really hot and very funny in this role (so is Naomi Watts as Jet Girl (Lori on the left, Naomi on the right) she was SOOOOO young and hot in this movie. Loved her as a brunette) and I really dig the music from the movie. So call it one of my few vices!
Someone is setting off fireworks tonight (just heard them going off). I hope they don't get a ticket, it's only legal to do so from 10:30 a.m. tomorrow morning to 10:30 p.m. tomorrow night.

Incredible Hulk and the New Lid
Well, my new lid came in. It's an HJC CL-SP. It was $129.00 with free
shipping and handling. I had wanted to buy it from Metric Bikes, but
their prices weren't as competitive as they used to be I'm afraid. I
went with a regular full face and this one got an excellent
review on Web Bike World. It was rated as very quiet, decent weight,
and good comfort. I tried it on yesterday when it came in, and the vents
are much better than those on my Symax.
There are more of them, and the helmet got good venting marks as well. I like that there is a switch to lock the visor down as well. I'll have to remove my glasses to put it on and take it off, but I like it. My only wish is that it came in Pearl White besides plain white. I've got two Bell motorcycle helmets (Size Small and Size Medium), plus the Shoei Medium (which fits like a large) in case I ever need to carry a passenger. It would be nice if the lids matched (if the passenger was a cute female). :-)
I saw the Incredible Hulk last Friday, it was very good. I've got to mow the yard again soon (it was Friday when I mowed it last, but the heat and rain is causing the grass to grow like mad). That reminds me, I need to turn off the drip hose in the front flower bed! :-)
My back is slowly feeling better and healing. It's gonna be a few more weeks before I feel 100%, but hopefully I will be able to do some riding soon with the new lid.

Indiana Jones
Well, I went and saw Indiana Jones. I was supposed to go see Prince
Caspian with my friend Martene, but she knew I really wanted to see
Indiana Jones so that's what happened. It was awesome. I love Harrison
Ford, they tied up a lot of the old stories and tied things back to
Raiders too which was awesome... and Indiana now has a successor. Some
of it was way over the top. A couple of scenes in fact... Indy's
successor is a motorcyclist BTW and there are a lot of scenes featuring
his bike. I figure any future films will feature that. I'll get it on
DVD when it comes out for sure.
I had no clue that they were gonna make a new Indy Movie last year when I finally bit and bought myself some fedoras. I've really enjoyed having them, and seeing Indy wearing a Brown Fedora with a Black Gosgrain ribbon in the new movie made me happy I went with the Jaxon Crushable Safari II in the same color. My black fedora is just as nice and the summer fedoras I bought are really cool. I like the white one the best though for summer wear.

Roundup
I didn't sleep well last night, I was suffering from allergies. I got up today, was supposed to meet some friends from lunch but my head felt solid from all of the sinus congestion. I took some Benadryl, I gotta quit taking that. Twice this week it has had me dazed and confused. I spent one day at work working through things, but felt like I was in a stupor from the medicine. Either suffer with the allergies, or the medicine. I'm gonna try Tylenol for Allergies next time I go to the store. I decided to wash my bedsheets, laundry. I went out and moved the rain barrels to the garage and installed a new tap on one and did some repair work on it. Then I made a new one from a new barrel. I took them around back set them up. So free water for the plants. I also put down cardboard as mulch on my four surviving fruit trees. eBurgess has yet to respond to my inquiry about replacement plants. I cleaned the birdcages, fed the dogs, vacuumed the house and then went out and mowed and weeded the front yard. I also mowed the backyard, and behind the fence. I just fixed dinner, but I'm waiting about 10 minutes for it to cool before eating. Gas was $3.79 the last time I checked.

Knight Rider
Well, I finished watching the new Knight Rider. I was a big fan of the original, of course I was a kid, so the whole Michael Knight in tight leather pants with permed hair didn't bother me much. The new Knight Rider is true to the original, it's spirit and the story. I was quite pleased with the theme song at the beginning, and the voice of Val Kilmer as KITT. The car, while a Mustang and not an F-Body GM vehicle is pretty darned cool.
There was some political commentary on Blackwater Security, in the form of a bunch of Mercs working for Blackriver Security in the show. Mike made a remark about working with them in Iraq and them being "all about the money". He said it with a measure of disdain. Glad to know that some TV producers aren't trying to be PC. Star Trek used to not pull any punches when it came to commentary and societal innuendo.
Rumors abounded on the web that David Hasselhoff would do a cameo. Well he did, but it was more than that, but considering it was at a funeral and was very subtle I was quite pleased with it. It wasn't over the top or cheesy. The end of the movie also alluded to that the new KITT would be doing international missions by them dropping KITT and Mike off in the Czech Republic (of all places, where my ex-wife is from) for a mission.

Lounge Boy
I bought two pairs of flannel pants ($6.00, Natch!) and two baseball t's
($7.00, SWEET) for lounging about the house (sick of wearing sweats) at Wally
World.
Wish the fracking writers strike would end cause I want more episodes of Chuck... POS writers! :-) POS studios!
I'm gonna watch Wrath of Khan I guess... and eat some Ramen with Roast Beef.

Sashimi and Sushi / I Am Legend
Okay, I've eaten Sushi a couple of times recently. Normally in the past I have stuck to sushi roll's, but Courtney took me out for my birthday on the 14th, and we went to Igibon. I had a Bento Box, which came with three pieces of traditional Sushi. I ate them, first time in my life. They were really good, normally I go for rolls because the fish is hidden and I can handle it better. The salmon, tuna and shrimp (shrimp was cooked) were very good. I like Igibon, but it was so cold and Courtney was dressed up in a cute skirt and was freezing because of a draft every time the door opened.
We went and saw I Am Legend, I'd been anticipating it and it opened on my birthday so I was thrilled. Going to see a movie on my birthday is the only thing I consistently have done as a birthday celebration in my life. I am now 34, that sucks, I'm going bald in the back! I chose the right time to start wearing hats I guess.. I'll need to start shaving my head or something. I Am Legend was very good, Courtney found it to be too dark and violent... but I liked it a lot. The scenes in New York of the city abandoned, desolate, were beautiful. The way nature was represented as reclaiming Manhattan was beautiful. The daytime scenes were gorgeous. Will Smith was wonderful in the movie, but I'm biased as I have always loved him as an actor because he has always played positive roles and good hearted characters.
